La voce di Antony Hegarty è suadente e prometeica, capace di modulare la gentilezza -appunto-, l’inquietudine e l’eros. Di essa la grande Diamanda Galás ha detto che «every emotion in the planet is in that gorgeous voice», la quale non raggiunge l’incredibile estensione di quella di Diamanda ma è capace allo stesso modo di entrare nel corpo come un vento.
